Silvia (Automotive)

Born in 1964, it is derived from the chassis of the second generation of Datsun Fairlady. It is equipped with 1600cc OHV Su chemical oil engine and a new dress designed by German designer Albrecht Graf von Schlitz. The Datsun coupe 1500 code named csp311 showed her posture to the world for the first time at the 11th Tokyo Motor Show. In 1965, she was given the exclusive name of "Nissan Silvia", and as Nissan's two door sports car, she depicted her own color in the script of automobile history. "Silvia", a beautiful Italian woman in Greek mythology, means forest in Latin. From the second generation, Silvia began to develop in the export market. However, since "Silvia" only corresponds to the Japanese market in principle, she chose "anonymity" for the export market. Mainly for the U.S. and Mexico markets, Silvia is on sale in the name of 180sx, 200sx and 240sx. However, although the 180sx, 200sx and 240sx corresponding to foreign markets are not very different from Silvia in mechanical structure, there are differences in the body design between them. The siliva series has always maintained the design of double door coupe, while the 180sx adopts different styles of front face and jump lamp design in addition to the common fastback design of American cars. In view of this, although the chassis has not changed, due to the differences in body design, the 180sx and 200sx series are usually regarded as sister models of Silvia. Other derivatives, such as the gazelle and the special edition sil80, are basically in low volume.

From 1964 to 2002, the Nissan Silvia series has been launched for seven generations, and the second generation began to use the s platform specially set up by Nissan. With each replacement, the performance of Silvia series will be further improved, so it is very popular among fans and refitters. The fifth, sixth and seventh generation with code names S13, S14 and S15 are especially popular. As a result, siliva often appears in motor racing. Although the siliva series has not officially entered the Chinese market for sale, many people still buy it through "Xiaomao". For this reason, most people in China do not even know that she has the beautiful name of Silvia. Perhaps most of the opportunities to know her are in a Japanese animation with the theme of drift. The southern part of China even calls her "flying chicken", a kind of abnormal name with unclear praise and criticism.

As early as 1980, code named S110, the third generation Silvia has been put into motor racing. The competition machine 240rs, which appeared in 1983, was even more involved in the WRC competition from 83 to 86, and won the runner up position; the S12 racing Silvia super siloette won the SS group of the World Super Cup in 1983; in 1988, it carried 3.0 The 300ZX with V6 engine has become the last winning rear drive of WRC; Silvia is also a frequent customer of famous events such as GT, rally and D1 in Japan.
